According to Trump, Zelensky is about to have “big, big problems.”

It’s now crystal clear that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is more interested in prolonging the bloodshed than bringing about peace.

The latest episode that shows just what kind of an untrustworthy leader Zelensky is, has caused a stern response from President Trump. Zelensky’s latest reckless antics have come in the form of backhanded comments aimed at the Trump administration. In a recent interview with the BBC, Zelensky claimed that Europe, unlike the United States, “has discipline and no chaos.” This is nothing but a thinly veiled jab at the Trump White House. Discipline? From Europe? The same Europe that stood by while Ukraine burned and only took action when Trump forced their hand? It’s laughable. And the fact that Zelensky would publicly criticize the administration that’s working tirelessly to bring an end to the killing shows just how out of touch he has become.

Zelensky didn’t stop there. He went on to accuse Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, a close ally of President Trump, of “falling for Russian propaganda” because Witkoff dared to speak the truth about the Russia-Ukraine conflict during an interview with Tucker Carlson. Zelensky even mocked Witkoff’s credentials, saying, “He doesn’t look like a military man. He doesn’t look like a general, and he doesn’t have such experience. As far as I know, he is very good at selling and buying real estate. And this is a little different.”

Let’s not forget that Zelensky himself is a former television comedian with zero military experience. Yet he has no problem insulting Witkoff, a man who has been tasked with helping to navigate one of the most dangerous geopolitical situations in modern history. This is the kind of arrogant and ungrateful attitude that has defined Zelensky’s behavior for far too long.

Zelensky’s history of disrespect and entitlement is well-documented. He was kicked out of the White House just weeks ago after President Trump warned him that he was playing with fire and gambling with World War III. Zelensky’s attempts to apologize after the fact fell on deaf ears, especially as Ukrainian officials continued to attack the Trump administration behind closed doors. And let’s not forget the leaked phone call with Joe Biden in 2022 where Biden himself grew frustrated with Zelensky’s constant demands and lack of gratitude.

But the most egregious betrayal is happening right now. Zelensky has outright stated that he has no intention of recognizing U.S. aid to Ukraine as a loan. He’s made it clear that he has no intention of paying it back, even after Trump worked out a deal that would allow the United States to gain access to Ukraine’s valuable rare earth minerals as part of a fair and balanced agreement.

Now, Zelensky is trying to back out of the deal—a move that could have serious consequences not just for Ukraine, but for global stability. President Trump didn’t mince words when addressing Zelensky’s attempt to renege on his commitments.

“Zelensky, by the way, I see he’s trying to back out of the rare earth deal, and if he does that, he’s got some problems. Big, big problems,” Trump said. And he’s absolutely right. Zelensky is playing a dangerous game, one that could jeopardize any chance Ukraine has of securing long-term peace and prosperity.

Trump’s warning wasn’t just about the mineral deal—it was a message to NATO and the global elites who continue to prop up Zelensky despite his constant failures and betrayal. “He wants to be a member of NATO. He was never going to be a member of NATO.” Trump said it plainly, and he’s not wrong. NATO membership was never on the table for Ukraine—and the idea that Zelensky thought he could use the conflict as leverage to force his way in only highlights his naivety and recklessness.

The fact is, President Trump is the only one who is serious about stopping the killing and bringing peace to Ukraine. He’s been clear from day one that this war could have been avoided—and that it can end tomorrow if the right deal is struck. Trump isn’t interested in endless foreign entanglements or filling the pockets of corrupt elites. His focus is—and always has been—on putting America First and ensuring that our national interests are protected.

But Zelensky doesn’t seem to want peace. He thrives in chaos. He’s made a career out of playing the victim and manipulating global sympathy to line his own pockets and prolong the conflict. And now that Trump is putting real pressure on him to make a deal and clean up his act, he’s lashing out and trying to undermine the very administration that’s working to save his country.

It’s time for Zelensky to get serious. The United States is not a blank check—and Trump has made it clear that those days are over. If Zelensky continues down this path, he’s not just jeopardizing his own future—he’s putting the future of Ukraine and its people at risk.

Trump is offering a way out. He’s offering peace. But if Zelensky continues to sabotage the process, he’ll only have himself to blame when it all falls apart.

Given everything that's happened, do you genuinely think that Zelensky is interested in peace?
