The Real Reason He Was Fired, He Was Framed
The war machine is making its move.

Was he framed? Tucker thinks so.
In a move that has alarmed anti-war voices across the America First movement, Dan Caldwell—a veteran, principled advisor, and outspoken opponent of reckless foreign entanglements—has been ousted from his role on Pete Hegseth’s defense policy team. The official story is that Caldwell is under investigation for allegedly leaking internal information. But let’s be real: this has all the markings of a political purge—an ideological cleansing designed to rid the administration of those who refuse to bow before the war-hungry altar of the Washington foreign policy establishment.
Dan Caldwell’s real crime? Refusing to go along with the neoconservative fantasy of bombing Iran.
Caldwell, who earned respect for his time in the Marine Corps and his leadership at Concerned Veterans for America, stood firmly against the idea of dragging the United States into yet another Middle Eastern conflict. He understood what so many of the ivory tower “strategists” and think tank warhawks conveniently ignore: Iran is not a threat to the American people. They do not have the capability to attack us on our soil. They pose no existential danger to our homeland. And yet, there are forces embedded deep within our own government that seem dead-set on manufacturing another endless war.
Let’s call it what it is: a permanent war machine. The same machine that lied us into Iraq. The same machine that sold the American people the failed promise of “nation-building” in Afghanistan. The same machine that now wants to erase anti-war voices like Caldwell’s from the Trump administration because he had the guts to say what most Americans are thinking—no more blood, no more treasure, no more fake wars that benefit no one but defense contractors and globalists.
Caldwell reportedly warned that any strike against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure would almost certainly lead to broader regional chaos, trigger retaliation against U.S. forces, and risk pulling us into a direct conflict we can neither afford nor justify. That’s not “leaking”—that’s basic common sense. That’s what leadership looks like.
But instead of being praised for his foresight and integrity, he was quietly escorted out of the Pentagon. Just like that, a man who put America First was removed for refusing to play ball with the same dangerous crowd that has led this country from one disaster to the next for the last 25 years.
Think about the twisted priorities here. We’re supposedly a nation tired of war. The American people—left, right, and center—are sick of sending their sons and daughters to fight battles that have nothing to do with defending our homeland. But in Washington, D.C., saying “no” to war is still considered heresy. If you question whether we should launch airstrikes on a country that hasn’t attacked us, you’re not praised for your prudence—you’re purged.
Meanwhile, the war hawks are still welcome at every table. The people who botched Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Afghanistan get TV deals, cushy board seats, and glowing profiles in the Washington Post. But the guy who says maybe we shouldn’t be playing global cop anymore? He’s the one kicked to the curb.
Dan Caldwell was one of the strongest voices at the Pentagon opposing war with Iran. Then he was falsely accused of leaking classified documents and fired.

This is why President Trump was elected in the first place. Not to repeat the mistakes of the Bush and Obama eras, but to stop the madness. To bring the troops home. To focus on our own people, our own cities, our own crumbling borders. Trump ran—and won—on a promise to end endless wars, not start new ones. Dan Caldwell believed in that vision. And now he’s being punished for it.
What’s even more disturbing is the possibility that this wasn’t an isolated decision, but part of a broader campaign to sideline anyone in the administration who believes in restraint. There are elements within our own government who are actively working to undermine the America First agenda. They don’t care what the voters want. They don’t care about the Constitution. All they care about is keeping the war machine alive and well.
It’s not enough to just talk about peace—we need to defend those who fight for it. Dan Caldwell stood up for sanity, and he paid the price. But if we allow the warmongers to win this round, we’ll soon find ourselves in yet another needless conflict, with another generation of American soldiers dying in deserts halfway around the world—for what?
No one voted for this. The American people are not clamoring for war with Iran. We’re clamoring for peace, for prosperity, for national renewal. That means prioritizing diplomacy, securing our own borders, and putting the American people—not Tehran, not Tel Aviv, and not Brussels—first.
The ousting of Dan Caldwell is a warning shot. But it’s also a call to action. If we don’t stand up now against the permanent war state, we may not get another chance. The stakes are too high, and the costs of silence are measured in lives lost and futures destroyed. America First means peace through strength—not endless war for profit.
It’s time to get back to that vision. And it starts by recognizing who our real enemies are. They’re not across an ocean. They’re sitting in boardrooms and briefing rooms in Washington, scheming for their next war. Enough.
